, is a Certified Diet Counselor, who attended the Institute for Educational Therapy (now Bauman College),
focusing her studies in the areas of nutrition and health education.
Prior to arriving at Contra Costa Oncology, Kristi acquired over a decade of in-depth experience in a Holistic Health care setting.
At the Hahnemann Medical Clinic and Hahnemann College, Kristi worked alongside seven unique practitioners ranging from
Homeopaths, Osteopaths to Internal Medicine doctors. She also worked with Eliott S. Blackman, D.O. a doctor of Osteopathy
and Homeopathy, and another doctor of Chinese Medicine who performed Acupuncture and Chinese herbal remedies. While
educating new patients on the benefits of the unique approach of homeopathic treatment, she gathered and documented patient
symptoms and/or illness and response to treatments. Her hands-on experience while working with the nutritional supplement
needs of patients, provided constant opportunities to gain experience in the use of supportive vitamin & herbal nutritional
supplements.

Kristi's studies in nutrition greatly contributed to her work with clients to achieve a whole foods approach to wellness.
Complimenting her experience she has worked alongside high profile experts, such as the physicians of Contra Costa Oncology.
Knowing that good nutrition can be your ally in preventing cancer, Kristi applies her considerable experience in developing and
fine-tuning a custom regimen for cancer patients, as they have special nutrition needs, and issues, related to eating. As your diet
counselor, she encourages the ingestion of fresh, in-season local produce, as her firm belief is grounded in the idea that behind
good nutrition, is that food, when properly grown and prepared, can be supportive of health, and enhance quality of life. Though
aware that there are endless approaches to dietary process, she applies special care to alleviate and unravel any confusion you
might have in understanding conflicting dietary information.
Kristi provides a wealth of acquired nutritional knowledge, assisting you in realizing your dietary goals, as they apply to any
variety of your needs, including a considerable focus on, but not limited to; Weight Management, Nutrition for Cancer - during
treatment and preventative, Thyroid conditions, PMS, Menopause, Arthritis, Allergies, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Lyme
Disease, and Diabetes.
Kristi helps you understand how a properly customized diet affects your health, well being and the environmental impact it
creates. She will not advise pre-packaged diet plans, but she will strongly encourage that you avoid a diet of commercially
packaged processed foods.
Certification and Experience: Diet Counselor (200 hours completed at Bauman College formerly IET). In addition, she
completed an additional 350 hours of nutritional studies at Bauman College.
