David H. Irwin, M.D. is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. In practice since 1993, he is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCSF and the Medical Director of Research at Alta Bates Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Irwin attended medical school at Penn State, where he also completed his internal medicine internship and residency. At UCSF, he furthered his training by completing a medical oncology/hematology fellowship. Dr. Irwin is the principal/secondary author of 17 research publications.

Board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology, Gary R. Cecchi, M.D. has been in practice since 1985. He is the Medical Director of Alta Bates Summit Lung Cancer and Screening Program and the Alameda Hospital Infusion and Cancer Center, as well as an Associate Medical Director of Medical Oncology and Hematology at Alta Bates Medical Group in Emeryville. Dr. Cecchi attended medical school at Tufts University in Boston and completed his internal medicine residency training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He also completed a medical oncology, hematology, and bone marrow transplantation fellowship at the City of Hope National Medical Center.
